With a frustrated, “Scheisse!” Bricky gave Bogbean a great push and she went flying along with the hatch lid. Into the air they soared as the others aboard the ship watched in astonishment at such a commotion. While she was up in the air, Bricky heaved himself out of the gaping maw of the hold with a slight electric surge rippling across his arms as he lifted his body.
Captain V, being the closest to the hatch got a full whiff of Bricky’s rank scent and nearly lost his lunch. For a few moments no one moved as they all stared at each other.
“Didn’t your mother tell you it was rude to stare?”
Bogbean and the hatch came crashing back down to the deck. The hatch landed on top of her and she let out a pained moan. Bricky ran over to grab the hatch off of her and make sure she was alright. When he helped her up and looked around them he realized they were surrounded. He moved his body in front of Bogbean shielding her from any possible harm. The hooded woman, seeing this, began to furiously take notes in the book she held. She moved closer to observe Bogbean and kept glancing at her with curious looks.

Miguel was inconsolable, “Are you gonna leave me?!”
Bricky just told him to shut up as he placed the hatch back over the opening. Through the grating he could see tears welling up in Miguel’s eyes, “Ughuh, I’m all alone!”
Everyone was in a sort of stalemate at the bizarre encounter that was unfolding before them.
Golkir spoke first, “Captain, what do we do?” He took out a second dagger for good measure. Sarsoon also stood at the ready, facing this strange stitched creature before them. Captain V spoke up before any further violence ensued, “I’m going to assume you guys came from the cargo hold then?” Sarsoon began to head to the hatch as if to investigate.
Bricky looked at the daggers leveled at him and shook his head at Golkir, “I would advise against it. We do not want trouble…well she might want it…but I don’t.”
“Captain!” yelled Golkir.
“Hold on now,” explained Captain V, “We have to get them to port or we won’t be paid.”
With a huff and a wave off, Golkir muttered, “Ah, I don’t care!” and walked back to his post at the helm putting away his daggers as he walked off.
Having placated his crew, Captain V turned to the two breakouts, “Well, you may as well introduce yourselves. Cause I don’t like havin stinky shit on my boat and a little grub that likes to break my stuff.”
Bogbean, having just recovered from her ordeal with the flying hatch trick, turned to the captain with a ferocious stare, “You must know who the smiley man is. You bought us from him and put us on this boat!”

“Woah now there missy. I did not purchase anything or anyone. I was only contracted to get you to a certain place is all.” Captain V stood there with his hands up in an innocent gesture.
Bogbean continued staring at him with the cold stare of a predator weiging her attack options. Before Captain V or any of his crew could react she leapt towards him, whipping out a blade as she went. It was a short sword that looked like a normal sword in her small hands. It was a very wide short sword and was polished to a gleam. A sign that she cared for her weapon and knew how to use it.
Golkir pulled out his blades once more, calling out to his captain and turning to attack his closest target and ally of the green girl, the stitched man. Seeing this turning into a bad situation, Bricky turned to Sarsoon who had also begun to try to attack him. A light emanted from Sarsoon and was sucked into the stinky one’s mouth. To Sarsoon it felt like an invisible attack with a splitting headache to match. When the Captain yelled after him, he responded with the headache information and grabbed his head to ease the pain.
Bogbean pressed her sword into V’s neck and demanded he call his people off. With a sword to his throat, Captian V tried to dissolve the violent tension.
“I can’t call off the fight with you attacking my people. They have a right to defend themselves. You attacked first!”
“Only because you were getting ready to attack us!”
“Now I would disagree with that. We have not attacked, your man attacked mine and I cannot have that! I have made a contract to take you to a place not how to take you to the place. So, I recommend we do this calmly. No more hurting other people!”
Bogbean paused. She stopped pressing the blade into his throat. A thin line of red ran down the captain’s neck.

“Will you feed us?”
“Well, unless you know how to work on a boat I suggest you tone it down. I can feed you, well I don’t know what he eats but I can provide food.” Everyone nodded their reluctant assent to this shaky truce. Bogbean lowered her sword and backed away towards Bricky’s side once more.
However, Captain V hesitated for a moment, “You guys didn’t get anything while you were down there right?
Bogbean and Bricky both shook their heads and Bogbean answered, “I didn’t take anything but there’s a little one down there that found something in a box…”
With an expasperated wipe of his hand across his face, Captain V said, “Alright, how about we put some food in you and we all put the weapons away. We’ll see shore in about half a day.”
Everyone relaxed as the tension eased. Sarsoon headed off to rustle up some food from the tiny mess area they had aboard the boat. After making some stew for everyone to eat, he handed out portions, handing the hooded woman a slightly larger portion. She thanked him with wide grin. Everyone settled into various places on the boat. No one turned their backs on the other. The Extrayan Standoff still simmering under the surface of the temporary truce they had agreed to.
