Drexla, Captain V and Tobias made their way out into the crowds of the Sacred City to explore. Lilting music wafted over to Drexla and she noticed it was coming from some MyrRin with webbed feet and large mouths. One of them was cranking the lever of a box where the music was emanating. It was emitting an amazing sound that drew Drexla in. She just had to know how it operated and made such intricate music. She flew closer and closer, taking a greater risk of being seen and hurt or harassed with every inch. The MyrRin cranking the lever noticed Drexla flying low and thought, hmm big insect!

His tongue lashed out in a quick flash and managed to grab Drexla in mid air. The tongue snapped back into the creatures mouth carrying the poor fairy with it. She flailed as the mouth closed over her and plunged her into darkness. The saliva of the creature started to run down the walls of the mouth and onto her, covering her in it. Soon she was slimy and slippery with the goo. Drexla grappled with the tongue and fought to stay out of the creature’s stomach. She quickly thought of a solution as the mouth clamped down to trap her inside. She activated the strength amplifier in her gauntlet and managed to stop the mouth as her back hit the uvula of the creature. It hacked and hacked as her backpack tickled the back of its throat.
Drexla used as much of her strength as she could to lift the mouth open a bit and chucked a smoke bomb as far down as she could. It erupted into a cloud of black smoke that caused the MyrRin to cough and hack up Drexla to the safety of the outside. The acrid smoke also served as cover for her to get away after she managed to snag the music box the MyrRin had been playing with. After that ordeal she was covered in bile and smelled an awful lot. Her journey back to the wagon left a tiny trail of moisture as she flew back in a hurry.

Tobias and Captain V wandered. They spent three hours meandering around the festival grounds trying to locate the Rooka without luck. Finally, by some happenstance, they came upon whom they were seeking. The leader of the Rooka was a grey feathered old lady. She looked frail but her dress made it seem like she was anything but. She wore a brilliant purple dress encrusted with precious stone chips so it sparkled when she moved and complimented the movement of the fringe on the hem and sleeves of the dress. The well dressed older lady also wore a large headdress that was similarly ornamented in precious stone chips and sported a large feather or two. She was accompanied by a quartet of similar if simpler, smaller looking Rooka.
Lady Kree noticed that Captain V was standing next to Tobias. His blue scales dazzled her. In a quick flash, the ground rose up under Lady Kree, raising her to eye level with V.
“Have I seen you before? You look familiar?”
“That’s entirely possible, but I have not been to these parts before.”
“Hmmm.” With an appraising eye leveled at him, she sank back down to ground level.
“Come. We’ll have some tea and discuss what we know and share. You help us, we help you. That is the Rooka way.”
Lady Rooka began to walk and her retinue followed. She turned back once to say,
“Come, come before it gets cold.”

Back at the wagon, Bricky was startled to hear some rustling coming from the top of the wagon. He peeked up there and saw Drexla cleaning herself off with a look of such disgust on her face. Rags of cloth littered the top of the wagon as she expended more and more in the cleanup. It still wasn’t enough. The wagon’s roof was covered in the same stuff rolling off Drexla in small rivers. She was having a small manic moment getting it all cleaned up. He didn’t know what it was, but Drexla was covered in something gross and he wanted no part of the clean up. With a quiet chuckle, he walked back to Bogbean and Luna at the fire.
Luna had made herself at home in front of her bonfire and the others found their spots close to the flames as well. They were sharing conversation just waiting on Tobias and Captain V to come back from their exploration of the city before calling it a night. Some of them pondered why they were there and how they got to the Sacred City. It had been a long series of interesting encounters for all of them on their way here.
