This large, evil giant was a perfect test of my flesh toned quick paints. The skin is entirely quick paints, which I love using for things like skin because of how well the texture goes on. I can’t always spend hours on hours on a mini, so these paints make and hours long process into a minutes long breeze. The hair is a blend of a light yellow base tone with a brown wash over it for a more naturally blonde look. The loin cloth is made of a dark grey pelt. I added layers of different grey tones dry brushed over a black base for the fur effect. The skulls on the loin cloth are painted in a bone color of course but some are brown washed and one has a moldy wash on it which I love!

The biggest challenge for this miniature was the eyes. It is so difficult to achieve a good set of eyes that don’t look googly, let alone a set of four. I managed to add in the eye color without making it look funny so I’m pretty happy with the result. It was a simple miniature to paint, but so much fun.
