In keeping with the nightmare theme, this demon controls the nightmares of the previous post. I love purple and I wanted to give the demon a bruised sort of look, I went with an alien purple finished with flesh wash to add tone and texture. I went for an ashy look for the horns, starting with a matte black and dry brushing on some light purple and grey for the ashen look I wanted. No mouth on this guy, which made it a bit easy for me with the face.

The robe is my favorite part of this miniature. I started with a matte black and dry brushed on first some metallic blue, then some gold over the top of that to create an iridescence that seemed to fade from gold to blue as it draped over the demon. The definition that the metallic iridescence adds to the robe, gives it a luxurious and soft look. I painted the belt a simple leather with golden accents to keep the robe the main focus of the outfit.

I also just had to use my glow paints on this so I gave it a base of glowing stars and space. They look like swirling space underneath his steps. I also have him glowing green eyes. They were inspired by the dead lights in Stephen King’s It. This Nightmare Demon can worm his way into any dream and turn it into his own playground. Slowly, he wears down his victim, until they succumb to madness and die.
