The last bout was quite dangerous for the team. Even with great might on their side, they almost lost the battle. It was quite close. I was really worried Bogbean would not make it through, but the healers are skilled and were able to help her. Bricky almost didn’t let anyone near her. I had to explain that they were trying to help before he would allow them close. It did worry me seeing Bogbean and Tobias so injured and frail.
I am not looking forward to the next battle. It is the semi final and we are up against our own sister team. I will admit to contemplating throwing the match to give the strongest team the best option. Let’s face it, the lizard and myself are lithe and small, and Drexla is tiny, we would not last long against the massive Tuskari team. I heard they were last year’s champions and are ready to prove themselves again this year. I wouldn’t just walk out of the arena, we would make it look good, but I know the others are looking forward to a fair fight. It seems wrong to deny them even if it makes more sense to avoid getting them hurt.
Drexla hopes to change the Chief’s mind to allow us to fight together instead of against each other, but I really don’t think that would work. It would mean the other team of Myr’Rin would have to work together, which they never do. Then the chief would have to approve the change, which might actually be the easier part as Drexla pointed out. It would be great if we could. Then we could all rely on each other’s strengths and protect one another. I would much rather have that option that fight alone.
