“Well, I have found out that not only can I make things from dreams appear here, but I can also take people with me into the dreamscape.” Tobias explained his new found powers to the group.
“Into your dreams?” Luna asked.
“Not just my dreams, dreams in general. I can take to through all dreams.”
“So you’re saying all dreams exist in one place together?” Luna pressed for more information.
“Ja, und every dream is a room you can visit inside ze mansion zhat is se dreamscape nein?”

“Not bad, you can also think of the dreamscape like a vast ocean and your dream is an island that can be stopped by.”
The others muttered their awe and interest in the new ability Tobias had acquired.
“Though, I just found out I can take other people there with me.”
Bricky wanted a closer look still and went over to the new spear Tobias had purportedly brought over from the dreamscape. It looked real enough, its metal gleaming in the high sun. When he poked it, his fingers were met with cool metal even as it took in the warmth of the sun overhead. It was solid and real.
“I know!” Luna exclaimed, “I touched it too, it is real!”
At the top of the spear sprouted a beautiful tuft of dark fur that looked like night sky dusted with stars.
Bricky turned to Tobias, “May I ask you somezhing? Vhen you vere healing Bogbean, I saw your hands. Zhey vere..” He trailed off, unable to finish his sentence.
“Yes,” Tobias addressed the question head on as he showed Bricky his arms. He peeled away the wraps to show the large burn scars underneath.
“Mein apology, you do not remove zhem, so I did not know.”
Luna, seeing this revelation for the first time, exclaimed, “Oh dear, what happened? Some sort of kitchen accident?”
“It is not a very nice story.”
“I definitely wanna hear it now!” V laughed.
“You don’t have to tell us if you don’t want to. He should tell us when he’s ready!”
“No it is alright. I killed my father.”
“I’m sorry, you what? Did he do something particularly horrible?”
“Something happened and he changed. He lost control and set our home on fire.”
“He burned you?” Luna asked with a gasp.
“Yes, when I killed him and he burst into flames and my hands burned with him.”
“Is there anything we can do?”
“They are already healed as much as they could be. I have tried a lot but I have reached the limit of my abilities.”
“So ve both do not appreciate ze fire eh?”
“Yes and I killed both my parents.”
“Both of them? Your mother?”
“Pretty much.”
“You either did or didn’t.”
“I killed her by not stopping my father sooner.”

“But it was your father, you can be forgiven for not acting on that right away.”
“She died due to my inaction. Now she lies out in the plains where my ancestors wandered.”
Drexla flitted up to Tobias for a moment, “All I got to say is sometimes you can’t do anything. I was too little to help my parents and they died, but I don’t blame myself for not being able to help.”
“See.” Luna agreed.
“But I was not too little. This happened in the last year for me. I could have put a stop to it and I did not.”
“It’s so difficult to turn against your own parents. You didn’t want to kill him. He was you father.”
“He was and I didn’t want to, but my inaction caused me to lose my mother in the bargain.”
“It’s not your fault. I understand you maybe could have done something to save your mother, but it’s so difficult to turn against the people you love. No one can blame you for that.” Luna soothed him.
“Sacrifices must be made to save what you cherish most.”
“I don’t think you can be blamed for something someone else did.” Drexla pointed out.
“He also set fire to our village and caused massive devastation.”
“It sounds like you handled it.” V confirmed.
“Do all Rhomar burst into flames vhen zhey die?” Bricky asked.
“No, we do not even have much magic if any.”
“Zhat sounds like zhe Genaht. Ve also do not like fire und ve burst into flames when exposed to it.”
“I’ve seen people of the Elemn continent have power over flames and in the last battle I saw the three Rhomar we went up against use flame magic!”
“That is a very odd thing to see.” Tobias mused.
“Isn’t it supposed to be rare? The Rhomar and even the entire Myr’Rin don’t have much magic to speak of.”
“As far as I know, I am the first of my line to have any magic.”
“That is strange. These Rhomar knew how to use their magic and exactly what to do with it.”
Bogbean piped up, “hunza knows magic too!”
“That would make sense,” Tobias explained, “Some lesser Myr’Rin have greater access to magic though it is still very rare. It is even more rare to find someone of the greater Myr’Rin that can also wield magic.”
The group reached the edge of the forest and grew quiet as they began foraging for ingredients. Luna found a good assortment of nasty ingredients for her chemical concoctions. Tobias went in search of food and game for his food. He went in search of small prey animals in the brush and managed to find a great assortment of meats for his buns. Gathering materials this way seemed more cost efficient than buying them at the greatly marked up prices of the vendors at the festival.
Bricky went along with Bogbean as she searched for her own herbs and plants to propagate for her own use. She made a few good finds. V also searched for some vile ingredients for his special poisonous brews and was able to find one good ingredient for use with Drexla trailing behind him. They all spent the rest of their afternoons searching for various ingredients. Tobias was able to practice using his new spear and found that he didn’t need to go searching for it once used. it would come zipping back to him no matter how far he threw it. Everyone was enchanted with the new weapon.

They were winding down their activities for the day, having gathered enough for themselves, when Bricky walked up to Tobias.
“May I ask you a question?”
“Sure.”
“You say you can take people into your dreams but vhat about people zhat do not dream?”
“The lady who gave the power to me only told me I could use it. She did not really explain how it worked.”
“Well, that’s interesting,” Luna commented, “A mystery lady gives you a power and doesn’t even teach you how to use it. Very interesting.”
“The one who speaks to me in my dreams feels like I am speaking with my mother when I meet with her.”
“That’s quite nice. She feels warm and safe.”
“On the night before my father’s betrayal she warned me to go back and stop it. Before that, I had no magic.”
“Strange.” Luna murmured.
“Strange is a word for it. Creepy is another.” V smirked.
“How does she know all this information about the Mr. Peepers and people’s dreams.” Luna pressed.
“She says she exists in all dreams and can move between them with ease.
With a few final parting words the group separated with V and Drexla going off on their way to conduct business of their own. The others headed back to camp to go through what they managed to find in the forests surrounding the festival. Luna offered to help Tobias prepare the ingredients he had found as repayment for his continued feeding of them and giving them a place to curl up at night when the festival wound down. She felt it was the least she could do.
