Miniature Showcase

I painted these as part of a spooky bonfire set of miniature pieces. These are the benches that go around it. There are three full slab benches with skulls on one end. The other two are two small slab piles with a longer slab over the top. Originally, they came in gray resin and I primed them with a white primer to start. … More Miniature Showcase

Yearning for Home

Zephyr roamed the hallway as he made his way towards the room he had paid for the children to stay in. Most of the doors he walked past were quiet, as if no one resided behind them, but he heard a familiar voice as he rounded the corner. A huffy voice was exclaiming to be allowed to go out. On the other side of the door a flush Nimin was glaring at the taller, older Maxim. This miniature set is a wooden desk and a wooden chair. They can be used in various settings: offices, libraries, and homes. … More Miniature Showcase

This is installment two in painting beards on miniatures. I have already shown how to make a really old, mostly white beard but I wanted to do something different for this one. I wanted a different hair color and I wanted a more youthful appearance to the beard. The miniatured has a glorious beard so I knew this would be fun to paint. … More Miniature Showcase

A Loved One Comes Home

The burst of song from the enchanted fish above the door of the tavern was a welcome reprieve from the harsh winter outside. It all seemed to have worked out well but as soon as the owner saw the body slung over Brenna’s shoulder he began shouting protestations. It was the usual hysterical and perfectly reasonable reaction to seeing a dismembered body casually hanging off someone’s shoulder. A string of expletives burst out of the owner’s mouth as he spluttered at them to take the corpse out of his tavern. … More A Loved One Comes Home
