Miniature Showcase

Our latest campaign began a few months ago and we all spent some time getting the right miniature for our characters. These are the completed miniatures. We are currently in Icewind Dale, trying to find a way to stop the madness that is going on. As an extra, I added fluorescent paint accents to make us all uniquely visible. From left to right we have: Zephyr Raventhorn, Lullaby the Kenku, Dvalin Thornshield, Mythe the Changeling, and Brenna Wolfheart. … More Miniature Showcase

Volunteers

The next day dawned, and although the Hand of Destiny was happy at the resurrection of Fafnir, they dreaded what they had to do next. Up until now they had pretty much ignored the Queen of Ash. They knew she was in the Feywild. They knew she was amassing power like no other. She was killing minor gods and using them to experiment. Something was in the works. If they didn’t stop her soon, she would manage to complete what she wanted and they would have no chance at success. … More Volunteers

Nightmare of the Lost: Part 9

This was it, the final barrier between the adventurers BaRuhk and Sukra had put together was swinging open. In the empty space where the door opened was another undead. It was a lieutenant of the necromancer, which they now knew to be Vestra Loveless. He was dressed in white hued leathers and furs, and carried simple weaponry. The rest of him was sloughing off slowly, catching in the furs he wore and dangling in the cold wind. He gestured to them to follow and disappeared through the open doorway.  … More Nightmare of the Lost: Part 9

This crazy looking dude was painted for a friend and the dark campaign he was running. He wanted all the glow and color I could put in so I went all out. I started off by painting the majority of the body in a dark metallic color. I also used red, purple and blue for the accents and other parts of the armor. … More Miniature Showcase

Back from the Dead

Reunited once more, the Hand of Destiny prepared to leave the Shadow Fell. They could have used a teleportation spell but the portal they had come through was still open overhead. Blue black energy swirled and cracked in the air above. Not wanting to waste spells in case there was a battle ahead of them back home, they made for the portal using their various means of flight.  … More Back from the Dead

Nightmare of the Lost: Part 8

Wooden doors barred their way but they were unlocked. The necromancer wanted them to come in, to come closer. As they made their way through, they encountered more undead. In some rooms there were so many bunched together in the same space that passing through them seemed impossible. The undead seemed to pay them no mind. In fact, most of them smiled in their direction when they passed through.  … More Nightmare of the Lost: Part 8

Zenriel was a really cool npc in our last campaign. She was the opposite of our cleric, Kariss, in almost every way. She was the leader of the cult of Tiamat on Novos and worked hard to make a place where her followers would not be persecuted. As a child, her village had been destroyed by followers of Bahamut though they had not committed crimes. She held a deep anger for those followers and was actually more of a healer than our own cleric. … More Miniature Showcase

Soul of Darkness

Darkness was given a whole new meaning for Kaladrax when he woke up on the Negative plane. As his eyes adjusted to the new, deeper darkness he was able to start making out his surroundings. His vision improved but still all he could see was darkness and a dark gray mist swirling through the air. A low rumble echoed through the empty space he found himself in. Looking around frantically in search of the noise he stumbled upon Kariss, prone on the ground, barely recovering from the ordeal. … More Soul of Darkness

Nightmare of the Lost: Part 7

Two burly fighters came barreling at them at a much greater speed than the past undead encountered. BaRuhk scanned the tree line around for the archer and found her high in the branches of a far off tree. She had a longbow with plenty of reach. They noticed the rogue when he darted out of the shadows and tried to stab Missy. She danced away, out of his reach and laughed as if this were a simple outing in town.  … More Nightmare of the Lost: Part 7

Miniature Showcase

Throughout our last campaign, which lasted for three and a half years, we had some amazing villains that blindsided us with their potential for destruction and revenge. This is not including some of the gods and higher entities we dealt with like dragons and djinn. They all had unique motivations for their actions and, for many, you could see the hard decision they made that got them to where they ended up. When painting these miniature, I tried to embody their personalities in them as much as possible. … More Miniature Showcase
