Miniature Showcase

I’ve already written about some set pieces that add a great ambiance and reality games. Where campgrounds was the last focus of the article, this is about furniture and items. I bought a bunch of furniture from my local game shop to paint. There are: a podium and book, a cauldron, and a basin for water or other liquids. I am going to go through their paint process and the end product will show you how awesome it can be to use painted miniature set pieces. … More Miniature Showcase

The Fey Elves of Novos

Kaladrax was still reeling with grief when they arrived back at King’s Crest. With Marx’s death still fresh in his mind, he went about packing and preparing for battle against Null. He wanted to leave now but the others convinced him that they needed more time to prepare and that there was another powerful danger to the world they had to look into, The Queen of Ash. She was getting stronger and stronger while they fixed all the small problems she sent at them.  … More The Fey Elves of Novos

Sword and Soul

The Hand of Destiny quickly rallied around Kaladrax’s teleportation spell and were transported to the desert of the Oasis. There they encountered the other two gnome thieves that had escaped, leaving the third behind for them to interrogate. Another battle ensued between the Hand of Destiny and the two gnomes. One was killed outright and the other was trapped, by Kariss, inside a demi plane of her own making. He could not escape and the other surviving gnome was placed in there with him to keep them out of trouble while the group searched for the blue Dragon they were told hired them.  … More Sword and Soul

Nightmare of the Lost: Part 3

Days, weeks and months passed as BaRuhk and Sukra searched for their daughter. They traveled across the land searching for her body and soul to no avail. They came across a few villages. Most of them were empty. The houses were ransacked and empty of people or bodies. Each abandoned town they came to had that same moldy feeling of magic in the air. The magic of Necromancy.  … More Nightmare of the Lost: Part 3

This was the final Evil Queen of our campaign and the strongest. She was responsible for the Curse of Ash that blanketed the city of King’s Crest and resulted in mass casualties. She also developed a faster acting, liquid version that we had to stop before it got too out of control. I thought it fitting that red, black and gold were her color. I started with painting her skin first in a fair skin color. … More Miniature Showcase

Misdirection

The Hand of Destiny rallied together and thought for a moment about possible places of attack, murmuring amongst themselves. They wondered where and how the attack would happen. Athena, who had stuck with the group since finding out about the attack, piped up and said she had also been hired to create a distraction. Hepolita had barged in on her brawl idea and now eight people were dead because Hepolita had interrupted her. … More Misdirection

Nightmare of the Lost: Part. 2

BaRuhk thrashed in his sleep as the Dream Realm trembled with terrible news. Sukra had felt the severed connection moments before he, and had jerked awake with fresh tears running down her face. Senari was dead. Not only dead but her twin soul could not find the other half. The mortal half that rejoined with the Dream soul upon death. Her twin soul wailed with the loss of Senari sending tremors through the Dream Realm.  … More Nightmare of the Lost: Part. 2

Miniature Showcase

This was the miniature we bought to represent a newly risen Sseth in our campaign. Since he never got Kariss’s DNA, because she was one part of the ritual to bring him back, he was weakened and never truly whole in this fight. That said it was still a close call and we learned that even a weak and incomplete god could kick our butts! … More Miniature Showcase
