Miniature Showcase: Tuskari Warriors

This set of Tuskari warriors is ready for battle with brand new armor and a great attitude. I wanted to make it look like three warriors with new armor that was opulent and elaborate. They alternate colors between red, green and blue. I wanted gold to be the central theme for the armor with more conventional metal weapons to be realistic. A golden weapon doesn’t do much but look pretty. For the Tuskari skin, I painted the base color in a dark grey and dry brushed a lighter grey over it for a dusty skin look. The one in red is the leader with his two cronies in tow.

I love the vibrant contrast of green against gold for this one and the ankle bracelets with emeralds in them. The shield is my favorite with the beautiful pattern! The gold adds such a lavish look to the mini. The blue warrior is the simplest and has a missing hand. The mini came broken when we got it in the mail so we decided to keep it an make it a part of the story. I took some green stuff and formed a stump to complete the look. He was still a formidable opponent in battle against Bogbean. Until she took his other hand…
